How can SASH support you?
As an LGBTQIAP+ inclusive service, we are a safe space for both staff and service users all day everyday throughout the year. Not only do we champion the Queer Community, but we can also provide LGBTQIAP+ focused and dedicated support.
What does LGBTQIAP+ mean?
LGBTQIAP+ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning, Intersex, Asexual or Aromantic, and Pansexual, with the + including the wide range of other sexualities and identities that are part of the community, alongside Allies of the community.
What support does SASH offer for someone LGBTQIAP+?
We can provide you with dedicated and focused support on a range of topics you might experience as an LGBTQIAP+ person. This includes:
- Same-sex relationships
- Sexual and gender identity
- Navigating contraception options
- HIV Support
- Chemsex Support
- Sex/Adult Working
With one of our partners being London Friend, we are able to utilise their knowledge, resources and expertise to provide you with services that can best support you with your sexual health.
LGBTQIAP+ education
In order to decrease the levels of social inequalities that the LGBTQIAP+ community faces when it comes to sexual health and education, we also provide sessions, workshops and trainings for students, schools, and professionals in or working in the area to help them be better equipped at understanding and supporting the LGBTQIAP+ community. Our inclusive Relationship and Sexual Health Education (RSHE) offer for students 14+ includes bespoke sessions, and we can also offer training to schools and educational organisations around LGBTQIAP+ issues in order to develop and extend knowledge, skills and approach when working or supporting those within the queer community.
