Community Engagement

Our Community Engagement team raises awareness of the free services available to you at SASH, ensuring each one is accessible, supportive, and personable to you.

The Community Engagement Team ensure that SASH is present, approachable, and visible, maintaining discretion when necessary and prioritising confidentiality. They're the face of the SASH service, leading outreach efforts within the many diverse communities across our three boroughs.

All the outreach projects by the Community Engagement Team are crafted and executed with the individuals we support at the centre of their focus.

These projects include:

  • Workshops and awareness talks
  • RSHE programmes for young people (14+)
  • Support groups and drop-ins
  • Community health and wellbeing events
  • Trainings for professionals
  • Chaperoning to clinics and health appointments

The Community Engagement team also do Brief Interventions, 1-2-1 Key Work Sessions, and Contraceptive Counselling Sessions.

Some of the locations the CE Team frequently visit include schools, universities, youth clubs, community centres, hostels, gyms, partner sites, clinics within the borough, and any other locations where they can connect with people. Their aim is to raise awareness about the free support services provided by SASH and make them accessible to all.
